Southampton coach Malcolm Webster says he is keen to return to Ipswich as goalkeeping coach.
Boss Jim Magilton is searching for a replacement for the departed Andy Rhodes, with two or three coaches thought to be in contention for the Portman Road role.
Webster confirmed he had not heard from the club but reiterated his interest in returning to Suffolk, where he worked as part of George Burley's coaching team.
"I would be very interested," Webster, 57, told the Ipswich Evening Star.
"I have had a chat with Saints chairman Rupert Lowe and he knows the score.
"He is aware that if an offer did come from Ipswich it would be something I would like to consider. If it did come we would have to see how things progressed."
