Manager Phil Brown has confirmed Hull's interest in Plymouth winger Peter Halmosi but admits any deal is far from completion.

City are thought to have offered £2million for the Hungary international, but Argyle are thought to be holding out for £2.5million-plus.

Brown told the Yorkshire Post: "He's certainly got all the credentials to be a Premier League player.

"He's got a great left foot, he's got an eye for goal and he provides balance to the midfield.

"He could be the answer to our situation on the left side of midfield in a 4-4-2, but it's up to the two clubs to agree the right fee."
