Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson believes new signing Alan Power is one for the future.

Wilson swooped to snap up the 20-year-old midfielder after he was released by newly-promoted Nottingham Forest and insists he has the potential to be a big player for Pools.

"He is a young player and we have to remember that," Wilson told the club's official website.

"He has not had the experience of league football but we think we have a player with the potential to really push on.

"He's a ball winner who can pass and he's put in some very good performances in the reserves.

"There is no pressure on Alan, we have expectations and hopefully as the season goes on, he will push on and force his way into the team."
