Hartlepool striker James Brown has pledged his future to the club.

The 21-year-old has had a season to savour at Victoria Park and has hit the headlines with a return of 12 goals.

But the homegrown youngster insists he has no intention of leaving Pools after they helped him recover from a serious knee injury.

"I am not eager to jump the gun and do something stupid," Brown told the Hartlepool Mail.

"At the end of the day I am regular at Hartlepool, as long as I play well, so hopefully I can carry on developing."

Ritchie Humphreys, meanwhile, has been named the club's Player of the Century.
