Emmanuel Adebayor's first-half strike maintained Manchester City's perfect start to the season as they recorded a 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Adebayor's second goal in a week proved enough to beat newly-promoted Wolves, the £25million man lashing home a Carlos Tevez lay-off after 19 minutes.

City should have wrapped up the win before half-time such was their dominance but in the end, they were thankful Andy Keogh's second-half shot came crashing back off the crossbar.
