Our Player of the Week this week is Fulham's Australia international shot-stopper Mark Schwarzer. Schwarzer gets the nod after helping the Cottagers to keep a clean sheet at Anfield with a man-of-the-match display between the sticks.

Having never won at Anfield and with a poor record away from home this season few people gave Fulham a chance at Liverpool last weekend. But Schwarzer produced a string of great saves to deny the Reds and keep Robbie Keane, Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt at bay.

The point was only the second Fulham have collected away from home this season, and the Cottagers stopper had to withstand severe pressure late on to ensure they didn't go home empty-handed.

The former Middlesbrough keeper turned down Bayern Munich and Juventus to go to Craven Cottage in the summer, and with Fulham in 9th place in the table and in reach of Europe, it looks like he's made a good decision.
