Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock is set to dip into the loan market after failing to land any new players on transfer deadline day.
Warnock was still in the hunt for another striker, with recent signing Alan Lee, James Scowcroft and youngster Calvin Andrew the only out-and-out forwards at the club.
But the depatures of Tom Soares, to Stoke for £1.25million, and veteran Dougie Freedman to Southend, was the only deadline-day activity at Selhurst Park
Warnock told the Croydon Guardian: "If we can improve the squad we will loan some in, I would like another striker. We will loan one or two out now too."
