Darlington have completed the signing of Stockport striker Adam Proudlock on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old frontman, who is the Quakers' fifth signing of the summmer, made 20 appearances for the Hatters last season, scoring nine goals.

The former Wolves trainee has also played for Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich.

Darlington boss Dave Penney told the club's official website: "Adam will be a great addition to the squad. He is a goalscorer who has played at a higher level during his career.

"A lot of hard work is going on behind the scenes to make sure that we have a good squad in place.

"We may not have the biggest squad in the League but I believe we have brought in quality players who can do a good job for this club."
