Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has warned Ashley-Paul Robinson of repercussions after he declared on Facebook that he was destined for Fulham.
The 19-year-old, nicknamed "motor mouth" by friends, posted a message saying he was having a trial with the Premier League side.
The striker, who made six substitute appearances last season, is in danger of missing out on the new contract promised by manager Neil Warnock in April.
Jordan told Sky Sports News: "He was trying to engineer a trial for himself for a potential offer but he got carried away and posted it on Facebook.
"So I think the only person looking foolish from that is Ashley-Paul.
"As far as Neil is concerned he is still with Palace. Whether after that debacle he gets another offer of a contract remains to be seen."
