Crystal Palace's latest signing Johannes Ertl has targeted promotion to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old defender, who joined from Austria Wien this week when he signed a two-year contract, has fulfilled his dream of playing in England and now wants top-flight football.

The Austria international told the club's official website: "It's a big honour to play for this club because it's a very famous club with a big tradition. All together I've found it very friendly and I've enjoyed it."

He added: "I give 100% on the pitch for the team and my aim is to get up to the Premiership with Palace.

"I'm really focused and when I started my professional career I wanted to play in England. I like this country and the city and I'm really happy to be here."
