Opener Shaun Marsh struck a maiden century as Australia set India a massive 351 target for victory in the fifth one-day international in Hyderabad.

Marsh, dropped on 29 and again on 52, made the most of those reprieves as he powered to 112, while opening partner Shane Watson also vindicated Australia's decision to bat first by plundering 93.

Cameron White got Australia past the 300-run mark with a quickfire 57 and Ricky Ponting chipped in with a run-a-ball 45 in Australia's total of 350 for four.

Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was the pick of the Indian attack, finishing with figures of one for 44 from his 10 overs.
