Crewe are in the hunt for two new players as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

The Alex are set to launch an official bid for a unnamed League Two winger and assistant boss Neil Baker revealed an enquiry has already been made.

"We've spoken to the player's club and we'll see where it goes from there," he told the club's official website. "He's a tricky winger who is good with both feet and can beat a man."

The Gresty Road side may also revive their interest in Livingston striker Robert Snodgrass, who is being tracked by a host of teams.
