Manager Chris Coleman insists there are plenty of positives to take from Coventry's pre-season friendly defeat against Romanian side Brasov.

The Sky Blues' tour of Switzerland began with a 3-1 loss but Coleman was pleased with what he saw from his players, particularly in the first half of the game.

"I thought we played really well for the first 45 minutes. We were playing at altitude which is always difficult and after we gave away a sloppy opening goal I thought we played some really good football," Coleman told the club's official website.

"I changed things completely at half-time to give as many players as I could a run-out and the result wasn't the most important thing. It was about getting some minutes for as many players as we could."

New signing Freddy Eastwood was one of the players introduced at the break but his debut was a short one as he was replaced by trialist Clinton Morrison.

Coleman explained: "We gave Freddy a good 25 minutes or so but we didn't want to push him too hard because he hasn't played many games. He Is fine but we also wanted to give Clinton a run-out as well."
