Coventry manager Chris Coleman has been pleased with the attitude of his players following their return to pre-season training.

Coleman took his Sky Blues squad to a intensive camp in the Austrian Alps before returning to to the University of Warwick for more training.

And he told the club's official website: "Normally you hear a few moans and groans at the start of a pre-season because you work the players very hard in the early weeks.

"But I've not heard a single grumble and they have all hit the ground running.

"The only thing we proved last year is that we were just good enough to remain in the Championship but that was it. We need not just an improvement but a dramatic improvement and I sense that the players fully realise that.

"They say a league table doesn't lie after 10 games - well it certainly doesn't over a whole season so we got what we deserved and we never want to be in that position. I certainly know that and so do the players and they have reacted just as I would have expected."
