Coventry manager Chris Coleman believes the club is moving in the right direction thanks to the work of chairman Ray Ranson.

Coleman took over in February shortly after Ranson completed his takeover of the club and guided the team to Championship survival.

And he is now looking to build on that and believes the work Ranson - including the refurbishment of the club's Ryton training ground - has been integral to the club's reversal of fortunes.

He told the club's official website: "You have to put certain things in place and I think that has been done and would have been done if I had got the job or not because the chairman knows what is necessary.

"A great deal of work has gone on behind the scenes and things which had to be put in place, have been put in place.

"Work on the training ground is going on and that will be so much better for everyone and other changes have been made which make me believe that the club as a whole is going in the right direction."
