Coventry boss Chris Coleman has admitted he still has a major rebuilding job to do at the Ricoh Arena but insists he will not be rushed into making new signings.

Coleman was left frustrated after a deal to sign Freddy Eastwood fell through, but the former Fulham boss is adamant he will not change the criteria for potential new recruits.

He told the Coventry Telegraph: "We are trying to get a good balance and blend in the squad.

"Kieren Westwood is 23, Aron Gunnarson is just 19 and Guillaume Beuzelin is 28. We are not trying to get free transfers in from the Premier League who are 33 or 34 to give big money for a year - we are not looking to give anyone a pension.

"We want to get up and stay up and go on from there and these boys are a very positive step.

"We were good enough to stay in the league but weren't good enough to finish higher than fourth bottom, so there is a lot of rebuilding to be done."
