Coventry's new performance director John Murtough has confirmed Coventry will look to strengthen "key positions" in the summer.
Murtough, installed by chairman Ray Ranson to support the Sky Blues' coaching staff, insists Chris Coleman's squad is too small.
He told the club's official website: "We've got a great bunch of lads here and we've actually got quite a small squad in comparison to a lot of teams in the division.
"But there are definitely key positions that we need to strengthen in."
"It's everything non-coaching, supporting the staff both on and off the field.
"I'm not involved on the grass with the players, I leave that to Chris, Steve, Oggy and Frankie, but I'll be supporting them in every way I can to help them perform and get the best out of the players."
