Chester have announced plans to play home pre-season friendlies against Swansea and Carlisle as part of their preparations for the 2008/09 campaign.
The dates for the games have yet to be confirmed, but former City midfielder Roberto Martinez is set to return to the Deva Stadium for the first time since hanging up his boots last year with his newly-promoted Swans side.
Martinez's team will play Championship football next season after winning the League One title with a club-record 92 points.
It remains to be seen whether Carlisle will be joining Swansea in the second tier. The Cumbrians face Leeds in the League One play-offs for the right to play either Doncaster or Southend at Wembley in the promotion decider later this month.
A Chester spokesperson said: "We also hope to welcome another top club to the Deva Stadium during the build up to the 2008/09 League Two campaign and further details, including all dates, will be released shortly."
