Chester boss Simon Davies will make changes to his defence against Wycombe after watching his side concede 11 goals in their opening two games of the season.
Boss Davies admitted veteran centre-back Paul Butler was unable to cope with the pace of hat-trick hero Jermaine Beckford in the 5-2 mauling by Leeds in the Carling Cup and he will make way for Shaun Kelly.
Youngsters Kevin Roberts and Laurence Wilson are also in contention to replace Tony Dinning and Paul Linwood as Davies bids to shore up his back-line following a disastrous start to the season.
Meanwhile, striker Kevin Ellison has urged his team-mates to put the two heavy defeats behind them and concentrate on Saturday's visit of Wycombe to the Deva Stadium.
"We desperately need to put things right even if we don't know why we have started so slowly in the two games we have played so far. We need to be geared up for Saturday and I'm sure we will be," said Ellison.
