Charlton assistant manager Phil Parkinson has hailed the return of striker Chris Dickson after his injury nightmare.
The 23-year-old appeared in a 1-0 defeat to Bromley after nearly six months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
And despite a rusty return, Parkinson believes the former Dulwich Hamlet player can have an important role for the club this season.
"Dicko's an out-and-out goalscorer and he'll always get chances," Parkinson told the club's official website. "If he misses one, he doesn't let it affect him and he'll keep getting in there. That's the art of being a good goalscorer.
"He worked hard; some of his hold-up play in the first half was good. It probably went a bit sloppy in the second half when he got tired because he has been out a long time but, all in all, I thought Dicko did well.
"People forget how long it has been since he played an 11-a-side game. But there were signs that he has matured and could be a threat for us."
