Charlton striker Svetoslav Todorov will be fit to take a full part in pre-season training after fully recovering from his latest cruciate injury.
The Bulgarian forward joined the Addicks last summer on a free transfer from Portsmouth but, after a promising start to life at The Valley, he was ruled out for the rest of the season in October.
A tackle by Plymouth's Krisztian Timar left 29-year-old Todorov, who had already lost two years of his career to knee injuries, with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, a fractured knee, a partial tear in his medial collateral ligament and a small tear in his lateral meniscus.
Todorov's hard work in returning to fitness saw Charlton boss Alan Pardew hand him a new one-year contract two weeks ago and the former West Ham forward is determined to repay the faith shown in him by the club.
"I'm pleased. I really wanted to stay and the club showed they wanted me to stay as well. So I was happy to sign a new contract," he told the club's official website.
"It was a boost to me that the club have shown faith in me after my injury. I'm fully recovered from the injury. I will be ready for pre-season and I'm looking forward to scoring goals again and helping Charlton back to the Premier League.
