Bury new boy Efe Sodje has spoken of his delight after finally putting pen to paper at Gigg Lane.
The 35-year-old defender - who spent time on loan with the Shakers last season - signed a two-year contract on Thursday after having his contract at League Two side Gillingham terminated by mutual consent.
Sodje will combine playing with a coaching role and cannot wait to get started.
He told the club's official website: "I'm happy coming back to Bury, especially after the loan spell last season because I really enjoyed it.
"The gaffer has offered me a coaching role as well and I'm happy with that. I'm doing my badges anyway and it will be nice to learn from Alan Knill, it's good for me.
"It took a long time, but I'm here now so I can now officially say that I am a Bury player."
