Burnley skipper Steven Caldwell has tipped striker Martin Paterson to become an outstanding success at Turf Moor.

The 21-year-old joined the Clarets from Scunthorpe, where he was the club's top scorer with 14 goals last season, in a £1million deal.

Caldwell said: "I know what he can do, I've seen him on the snippets of highlights and live games throughout the season.

"He's a very good striker and a very good player."
