First-team coach Paul Trollope believes Bristol Rovers' new training base can play a major role in helping the club achieve success over the coming years.
Rovers have confirmed they are set to return to Bristol after signing a five-year lease to use the impressive facilities at South Bristol Sports Centre in Knowle.
The League One club expect to start using the site regularly from the end of September, but in the meantime they will continue to use the army base at Colerne in Wiltshire - their home since 2003.
"These facilities are here now for us to use in a few months' time and they can play a big part in helping the club to progress over the next few years," said Trollope. "Training facilities are crucial when it comes to the right preparation for games and also for the mentality of the players who have to use them every day.
"These facilities are excellent and will have a very positive effect when we move here in a few months. There is space here as well as quality, and the Astroturf facility is one of the best around.
"The club has trained away from Bristol for too long. Colerne has been good to us in some respects, but it is quite a way out of town and the board have put in a lot of hard work to obtain these new facilities."
