Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope has underlined the importance of the club's home form next season.
The Pirates will open their League One account against Carlisle at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday August 9.
Rovers had one of the worst home records in League One last season, winning just five home games - a record comparable to that of relegated Port Vale.
Trollope told the Bristol Evening Post: "We didn't win enough home games because we couldn't unlock opposition defences.
"Teams would come to us, string five players across midfield and we weren't clever enough to break them down.
"We hope the work we will be doing with the players in pre-season - plus the addition of some new faces - will help to rectify that. We need to score goals to win games."
