Bristol City captain Louis Carey is rated as doubtful for Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest.

The defender took a knock to his back during Saturday's draw against Sheffield Wednesday and had to be withdrawn at half-time.

Boss Gary Johnson revealed Carey is an early doubt for the Championship clash at the City Ground.

He told the club's official website: "We don't know how it will settle down as the week unfolds but the medical team will deal with it.

"He's a doubt at the moment."
