Brighton have resigned Adam Virgo on a free transfer from Celtic.
The Brighton-born defender, who joined the Hoops three years ago for £1.5 million, has signed a two-year deal with the Seagulls.
Virgo had previously had four years at the Withdean Stadium, and was handed his debut by Micky Adams in 2001.
He has since linked up with Adams again at Coventry and Colchester - where Adams was assistant manager - on loan but has now made a permanent return to the south coast.
Virgo told the club's official website: "It feels fantastic to be coming home and now I can't wait to get started. When I knew the club and Micky were interested it was a very easy decision to make.
"There were other offers on the table, but at this stage of my career I need to be playing regular football and I feel I can achieve that with my hometown club. I also feel the Albion are a Championship club in the waiting."
