Brighton manager Micky Adams has called on the club's fans to turn out in force to honour long-serving player Gary Hart at his testimonial this summer.

The 31-year-old has played in defence, midfield and up front during an eventful 10 years with the Seagulls since being signed from Stansted by then boss Brian Horton for £1,000 and a set of tracksuits.

Charlton are the visitors to the Withdean on July 26 in what will also be Adams' first home match since returning to the club.

"He has been a fantastic servant to this football club and I hope he has a great day and gets a big crowd because he deserves it," said Adams.

"It's not about Micky Adams' first game back, it's about Gary Hart's testimonial. It will be part of our preparation and hopefully Harty will put in another good performance for the Albion."
