Brighton defender Andrew Whing is relishing the opportunity to work under Micky Adams once more.

Adams rejoined the Seagulls in a shock move last week and Whing has first-hand experience of the new boss, having played for him at Coventry.

"The lads have spoken to me about what he is like and I think I've scared a few of them off," said Whing.

"We'll have to be very fit before pre-season, we'll work hard and he will do everything possible to get us out of this division. He's a very good manager. He had a lot of success here and we'll be hoping he can bring the same sort of success again.

"I'm looking forward to working with him again. We'll be very organised and very fit, and I'm looking forward to the new season."

Brighton have yet to hear whether Dean Wilkins, who was replaced as boss by Adams last week, has accepted the role of first-team coach.
