Brentford striker Charlie Ide has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent ahead of his proposed switch to non-league Grays Athletic.

The 20-year-old, a Griffin Park youth product, made 44 starts for the Bees and scored eight goals but fell out of favour under manager Andy Scott.

Ide spent the latter end of last season on loan at Lewes, and is now expected to sign for their Blue Square Premier rivals Grays on July 1.
