Brentford chairman Greg Dyke has insisted the management duo of Andy Scott and Terry Bullivant can bring promotion to Griffin Park.

Dyke's appraisal came after manager Scott was awarded with a new five-year contract by the League Two club.

The Bees finished last season on 59 points which left them safe in mid-table, but the chairman claims they will be looking to push for promotion in 2009.

Dyke told the club's official website: "Andy Scott is a breath of fresh air.

"The board are unanimous in believing we have the man to take the club forward.

"Combine Scott's experience with that of assistant manager Terry Bullivant and we firmly believe we have a management team that will enable us to challenge for promotion next season."
