Bournemouth captain Darren Anderton is confident his experience can galvanise the recently-relegated club.
The former England international, who won 30 caps, has agreed a pay-as-you-play deal with the League Two side on Friday, ensuring a third season at Dean Court.
"All the boys are good and do everything right, and they're all respectful," the 36-year-old told the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
"God knows how long I've been playing now and I'd like to think my experience will help in many ways.
"If we can keep the spine and most of the team we had at the end of last season we'll be very difficult to beat. That's one of the reasons I decided to have another go."
The former Tottenham midfielder made 23 starts for the Cherries last season.
