Bournemouth defender Ryan Garry looks set to sign a six-month contract extension at Dean Court.

The 24-year-old centre-back - who was sidelined for the majority of the 2007/08 season with a broken leg - has agreed personal terms with the Cherries.

Garry is a former England youth international and joined the club from Premier League giants Arsenal last summer.

Cherries boss Kevin Bond told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: "We've got an agreement in place with Ryan and it's just a matter of getting him to come down to put pen to paper.

"We've agreed something along the same lines as last season and he's comfortable with that and so are we.

"We are looking forward to seeing him have a sustained injury-free period."
