Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond admits the club's financial situation could halt his hopes of signing Cardiff goalkeeper David Forde on a permanent deal.
Forde - who is out of contract at Ninian Park - arrived at Dean Court as an emergency loan in March and helped guide Bond's men go on a seven-match unbeaten run to end the campaign.
Millwall and Aberdeen have also been linked with the 28-year-old and Bond admits he has spoken to the Irishman over a return to the club.
He told the Daily Echo: "I would love to bring David back here but, whether it will happen, I don't know. I'm not sure that we are in a position to meet his demands never mind anything else.
"I think the situation the club finds itself in would stop me clinching a deal with anybody at this moment in time. But I've spoken to David and he knows of our interest."
