Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman is pleased with his start to the season, but is happier with how his side have been performing.

The Cherries remain top of League Two despite last weekend's 4-0 reality check against Rochdale, with Pitman firing eight goals to help them to the summit.

But the Jersey-born forward remains focussed on the team's aims, rather than his own.

"I'm really enjoying my football this season and have enjoyed being part of a winning team," he told Press Association Sport.

"The goals I have scored have been nice but it's been more pleasing that we have done well and I'd like that to continue."
