Bournemouth midfielder Mark Molesley will undergo surgery after succumbing to a foot injury.
Molesley featured in the Cherries' victory against Grimsby, but was ruled out of the 4-0 defeat against Rochdale on Saturday and now requires an operation.
He told the club's official website: "To be honest, I didn't come through the Grimsby game very well. I was really feeling it in the game and I started cramping up and I couldn't run on it properly.
"I tried to train on it last week because I was desperate to play on Saturday, but unfortunately it wasn't right.
"The surgeon is now looking at scans and he will get a second opinion and then he will get a second opinion and then we will go ahead with the operation."
